The Lakeland recycling office is collecting out-of-date phone books through March 25.
Curbside recycling is available to all Lakeland residents.
To receive prompt collection, place phone books with regular recycling at the curb no later than 6 a.m. on your scheduled recycling day.
Residents not living within city limits can dispose of their phone books at any of the designated drop-off locations listed below:
City Hall, 228 Massachusetts Ave., east parking lot (across from Lakeland Electric).
Fire Department Training Center, 901 Granada St.
Lakeland Highlands Middle School, 740 Lake Miriam Drive.
Lakeland Square Mall, Parking lot south of KFC.
Lawton Chiles Middle School, 400 N. Florida Ave.
Processing Center, 320 N. Eastside Drive.
Solid Waste Facility, 501 Evelyn Ave.
Southwest Middle School, 2815 Eden Parkway.
Small businesses can dispose of phone books at the above designated drop-off locations. Businesses with many books may call the Recycling Office at 834-8778 to schedule delivery of containers.
Phone books cannot be recycled if they are wet.
Please do not place phone books in recycling bins if it is raining. Instead, wait until the next scheduled recycling pickup.
